Boosting Young Athletes’ Mental Game: Inside NHTTF’s ‘Performance Enhancement through Mind Training’ Workshop

The “Performance Enhancement through Mind Training” program aimed to improve young athletes’ overall performance by addressing stress and anxiety through psychological strategies. This 3-week initiative targeted athletes of table tennis of ‘Nagen Hazarika Table Tennis Foundation’ aged 6-14 playing at various levels, emphasizing psychological mindfulness, self understanding, and practical mental toughness tools. The outcomes included greater psychological awareness, improved self-understanding, reduced anxiety, increased frustration tolerance, and the development of sportsmanship.
